What verification does — and doesn't — mean.
What is It'sTruly.me?
It'sTruly.me is a real-person verification network that helps people establish a verifiable connection between themselves and their online profiles.
What does "verified" mean?
It means a specific verification process has been successfully completed. We verify two things: that a real person completed a live video session with our team, and that this person demonstrated control of the online accounts listed on their profile. The exact signals active on any profile are shown on that profile.
Do you verify government identity documents?
No. We do not collect, check, or store government-issued ID, and we make no claim about anyone's legal name, age, or identity documents. Our verification confirms a real human completed a live review and proved account ownership — nothing more.
Does verification mean someone is trustworthy?
No. Verification confirms specific facts about a profile; it does not guarantee anyone's character, intentions, behavior, or the outcome of any transaction.
Does verification mean a profile can never be fake?
No verification system can guarantee that. Verification provides specific signals based on checks that have been completed and are currently active.
Will my legal name be public?
No. Your public profile uses the display name you choose. We don't collect your legal name, date of birth, address, or phone number in the first place.
Do you record or keep my verification video?
No, not by default. Our reviewer records a written summary of the session — the questions asked and the decision — rather than retaining video footage.
Can I verify my social accounts?
Yes, where supported. You place a short code we generate in that account's bio or description, and our reviewer confirms it during your live session. Each account's verification status is shown separately on your profile.
How long does verification last?
Verification is not permanent. Some statuses expire and require re-verification. Your profile always displays the current status and the date it was last verified.
What does "revoked" mean on a profile?
It means a previously verified profile or link is no longer valid — for example, the creator lost access to an account or it changed hands. It does not mean the account is fake.
What if a profile has no verification record?
It only means that person hasn't been verified through our system. It is never a statement that the profile is fake or that the person is untrustworthy.
Can I remove my profile?
Yes. You can request removal at any time, which takes your profile off the public site immediately. If you change your mind, you can restore it later using your original email address.
Is It'sTruly.me a social network?
No. It'sTruly.me is a verification layer for online identities. We don't host content, messaging, or transactions — you use your verification across the platforms where you already have a presence.
Does verification guarantee a safe transaction?
No. Verification is not a guarantee of safety, honesty, or transaction outcomes. Always use appropriate caution when interacting or transacting online.
Are there age requirements?
Yes. You must be 18 or older to create an account or search profiles on It'sTruly.me.
